Job Summary

A skilled Locum Consultant in Abdominal Radiology is required for a temporary position covering maternity leave. The role will be based within the Main Radiology Department and requires full accreditation in Clinical Radiology. Expertise in abdominal imaging and proficiency in advanced modalities such as CT colonography, MRI, and GI ultrasound is essential.

The appointed consultant will actively participate in MDT meetings aligned with clinical interests. There is no on-call commitment for this locum position.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

• Provide high-quality diagnostic and interventional GI radiology services.
• Undertake interpretation of advanced imaging modalities, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy of the abdomen and gastrointestinal system.

Training and Research

Person Specification

Qualifications and Training

Essential:

• MBBS or an equivalent recognised medical qualification.
• GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• FRCR or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Completed formal training in Radiology with subspecialty expertise in abdominal radiology.
• Proficiency in abdominal ultrasound, including biopsy techniques.

Desirable:

• MRCP or MRCS.
• ECNR qualification.
